Spanish Mission House : AshHurst
AshHurst: The template for a refurbishment of this suburban mansion set in a large Remuera parklike site of some 3000m2 is imaginatively and whimsically reworked in this project. The architectural response has been to build on and enhance the existing spanish mission style with various additions and insertions within the existing main house and around the property.

all tactfully navigate around the mature landscape further enhanced by new planting and waterfeatures.
The connection to the garden is enhanced by changing vistas as you parambulate around the house.
Interiors are a careful mix of old and new – the latter in the shape of a new open plan Kitchen Family area a simpler rendition of the old richly ornamented rooms. Calm luminous spaces perpetually framed by a backdrop of greenery.
